You may get a better idea about value by perusing eBay and checking the pricing on the really hi-end used models of Buffet and Selmer and Leblanc and Yamaha. I seriously doubt that your clarinet has THAT much value, albeit it may play very nicely. I recall that EVETTE was a designation Buffet used to mark their lower-line instruments (e.g., EVETTE-SCHAFFER, although I may have misspelled it). But it wouldn't surprise me that over the years Buffet (as well as many others) kept changing their business model, number of variations, and locations where they had them built (either under contract or by themselves). I don't know everything there is to know about Buffets, although I've owned several over the years and my gigging clarinet is a Buffet. I assume that because it is stamped FRANCE that it was made in France.
